Christmas 2006 - Continued

After the main presents were opened my mother started the process of making the Christmas dinner.  Sorcha and I tried to get her MP3 player, Portable DVD and a "Pirates of the Carribean" games DVD working.  We had limited success as the MP3 needed its battery charging and the Pirates DVD didn't work!

Melly went to fetch Annie (Imelda’s Mum), Jacinta (Sister) and Reece (Nicky was abroad on army duty) and they arrived about 1.30 pm for Christmas dinner.  We drank a hot punch and then shortly afterwards we ate the usual turkey dinner, followed by a "properly timed" Christmas pudding.  Afterwards we opened the Christmas tree presents.  Melly and I got a matching pair of Christmas themed thongs! from Jacinta.

Annie, Jacinta and Reece left about 7.00 pm.  Later in the evening we had the traditional Christmas tea, consisting of a salad with assorted meats and the Christmas cake.  Christmas 2006 slowly began to come to a close as we watched a Christmas film on TV.  The next day we took Beverley and Ffion to Knock Airport.
