A couple of days after Melly's birthday we got a good deal to travel to the UK.  Using Ryanair for return flights and the Travelodge for accommodation (2 nights), we managed to get a three day holiday for both of us, for less than €100.  We flew from Knock Airport to Stansted in the late afternoon and stayed at the Travelodge at Great Dunmow.  

                          

In the evening we ate at a quaint cottage, maskerading as an Indian restaurant.  Afterwards we both considered it was the best Indian meal we had ever eaten.  Although we had both chosen different dishes we could have eaten either our own, or the other's person's dish, with equal relish.  The next morning we set off to the Bluewater Shopping Mail in Kent - the biggest in Europe.  We spent a couple of hours shopping.  Afterwards we made our way to the British Wildlife Centre in Surrey.  

                                  

Before we walked around we stopped in the Cafe and had a snack and drinks.  Nearby there was a friendly Barn Owl named Milo and Melly got pictured stroking her.  We spent the next couple of hours looking at the various wildlife in their natural habitats.
