General Stores

The Castlecoote Stores, or otherwise known as Oscars, by the locals, is situated in Castlecoote, beside the River Suck.  It is open from 7 am to 11 pm, seven days a week and 51 weeks and 6 days of the year.  He's even known to open for an hour, or two on Christmas Day. The shop sells general food and drinks, fishing, shooting and horse riding equipment, basic DIY, petrol and operates a post office. There are some recycling bins nearby.

Oscar is the genial owner of the Stores and has a reputation for knowing a thing or two, about fishing, horse riding and shooting.   Outside the stores, there is landscaped area with flower beds, picnic benches and children's swings.   The fast flowing River Suck flows beside the Stores and from the concrete banks you can go fishing, or just sit down and eat a soft ice-cream, letting the world continue without you.
