Sorcha's 14th Birthday
Sorcha's
birthday began with card and present opening around 8.00am, due to the
fact that she had to go to school shortly afterwards. She got
a pink tutu,
books, CDs, a concert ticket and rail fare to see a rock concert a
week later, in Dublin and various amounts of money.
Later in the evening we got a Chinese takeaway and afterwards she had to blow out the solitary candle on a birthday cake - now that she is much older, we couldn't take the risk of lighting all her candles in case it started a major fire! Finally, at the weekend she had a sleepover with her friend Caitlin. Sorcha's birthdays are so subdued compared to her earlier years.
