Lefkas is a beautiful Island boasting one of the top beaches (Katsiki) in the world.  Surrounding Lefkas are dozens of other mountainous islands adjacent to the Greek mainland therefore making the stretch of water (Ionian sea) between the islands and mainland an interesting and safe sailing area.   After a couple of days I returned to Ireland.  A further few days later I got a survey report which showed that it was in good condition apart from some minor work, such as varnishing, painting, etc., and therefore the sale was completed.  

                                        

This year I intend to spend three weeks in August completing the problems highlighted by the surveyor, plus adding a few luxury items (solar panel fan, etc).  I am hoping that derek will be able to join me.  Hopefully, the following year it will be the basis for a sailing (shake down) trip to the various islands with Derek, followed by a long family holiday with Imelda, Sorcha, Beverley, Ffion, my mother and a friend of Sorcha joining me.
