Christmas Gathering
On Sunday, 23rd December we had a little Christmas gathering of family and friends. The house had already been decorated with Christmas decorations a few weeks earlier, the booze was stockpiled for Christmas and food had been prepared by my mother earlier that day.
The party started at 7.00pm and approximately 18 people turned up. Hot non-alcoholic mull wine was initially served as guests entered the cottage. Unfortunately, there was a short supply of eligible men for my sister. The food took a good battering and most people headed straight for my mother's famous coffee and hazelnut cake.

ended around midnight as the last people left. Sorcha and
Catlin decided to watch a late night video, while the rest of us
retired to bed.
