Imelda's Birthday - 17th August
Imelda celebrated her birthday
with breakfast in bed. When she got up a pile of presents and cards
were waiting for her in the lounge, as well as, Sorcha, Pearl, Derek and
myself. Her cards tend to be of a risqué nature ( I tell her
because everyone knows she has a dirty mind!). She also received book
and garden tokens, a spider catcher (she hates spiders!), books, a necklace
tree and a variety of hair bangles and bracelets.
In the evening we made our way to our favourite Chinese restaurant and spent the evening eating and drinking heartily. Luckily, for Derek, Pearl and myself, Imelda doesn't drink alcohol, so we could all take advantage of the restaurant's offer. They ran out of white sparkling wine so they gave us champagne at the same price as the white wine (saving a small fortune). Imelda was driving home three very inebriated people by the end of the evening.
