Laura's Wedding - Continued 2
Once the tables were cleared,
the DJ started to play music. The Floyd family gathered around a large
round table where serious drinking (half pints of Shandy) and socialising
took place. Colin brought out his Mr Peterborough Muscle Man application
photos - always good for a laugh! Later on we took turns on the diabetic
machine to see who would get the highest reading and was likely to die first!
At last I managed to win a contest! Double the next nearest. Although in my defense
I had only been released from hospital two days earlier with pneumonia and
glucose readings go high with illness. For those with an interest in
my health, my glucose readings have since gone back to normal.
We eventually left about 1.00am and returned
to the Travel Lodge. The next morning we ate an English fried breakfast and
made our way to Peterborough, where we went shopping. It was a lovely
sunny autumn day. I bought a lap top computer and everyone else seem
to buy clothes. Afterwards we visited my Aunt Sheila (Pearl's sister)
and Andy and Lizbet. In the evening we had tea at Colin and Chris's
house. Michael and Holly and Kathryn and Chris were also there.

The following morning we ate another fried
breakfast and then headed for Stansted Airport to eventually arrive at a windy
and wet Knock airport.
