Italian Holiday - Continued
The next few days we spent the mornings
around the swimming pool and the afternoons on the beach. On Wednesday
night the Italians played Germany in the World Cup and won with two late
goals in extra time. Needless to say the celebrations went on until
two in the morning.
On Thursday we went to Aqualandia (a water
park). The day was spent going from the Wave Lagoon to a variety
of slides. Sorcha and I went on most of them, except the Kamikazi
Drop! It name gives the clue why we gave it a miss! Strangely
although we had tanned quite nicely and applied loads of sun factor, Sorcha
and I had got slightly sun burnt.
The next day we caught a bus and headed
for Lido de Jesolo's friday market. The most memorable item bought
was Imelda's rain maker, a carved bamboo shaker with beads inside - however,
I don't think it is really necessary in Ireland.
The next day we packed up and caught the coach at 4.00 pm. We
eventually arrived at Cherry Tree Farm around three in the morning.
