Francesca & Michael's Visit
During
late April, Francesca
(Imelda's cousin - now
living in Florida) and her boyfriend Michael came and
stayed a few days with us. The first evening was spent
chatting. We also embarrassed Francesca by
showing Michael,
videos of Francesca at
our wedding sixteen years ago. The next day I took Michael and Francesca
around the farm and many photos were taken with the various animals.
Afterwards Eileen
(Imelda's cousin) and May
(Imelda's aunt), as well as Jacinta
(Imelda's sister) and Reece
(Imelda's nephew) came to our place to meet them. A short
while
later most people left to eat at a restaurant in Roscommon.
A few hours later, they returned with Teresa and Tom (Imelda's aunt & uncle) and Annie (Imelda's mother). By the early evening most people had left and we showed a few videos of the first years renovating our cottage. Afterwards Michael who is a musician and produced a number of CDs (http://www.michaelbarrymusic.net) played a few songs on my guitar. The following morning they left to spent an evening with Jacinta in Athlone and after spending a few days in Galway, return back to England and then Florida. A few weeks later we learnt that they had got engaged - Congratulations!
