Francine's Wedding

On Saturday 30th September,  Imelda, Annie, Sorcha and I drove towards Galway to attend Francine's (Imelda's cousin) Wedding.  We arrived at 1.00 pm to Castlegrove House, a lovely bed & breakfast in Claregalway.  Shortly afterwards we made our to Cloonacauneen Castle where the ceremony and reception was going to take place.  As there was still an hour to go we had a coffee in the beautiful 15th Century castle.  Nicky, Jacinta and Reece arrived at this time and we all headed to the ceremony venue next door.

The music was played by a traditional Irish band, which was composed of family and friends.  Arthur lead his daughter to the altar, just as a heavy downpour started, which made it difficult to hear what was being said.  However, actions spoke louder than words and when Francine kissed Colmcille (her husband) we knew that the marriage ceremony had been completed.

There was so many people attending that the reception had two sittings.  We were relieved that we had been placed in the first sitting as everyone was hungry by this time.
