Disneyland, Paris Holiday
On
the evening of the 23rd August we set off for the Travel Lodge, Dublin.
Sorcha's friend Sarah accompanied us, while my mother stayed at
home. The next morning we got up around 5.00am and set off to
catch our 7.00am flight to Beauvais, Paris. We arrived around
9.00am (French time) and pick up our hire car, where I drove to the St
George de Bussey hotel, in the small town of St George de Bussey - a
few miles from the Disneyland, Paris resort.
We ate lunch at
a small restaurant nearby. Afterwards we set off for Disneyland,
bought our tickets and explored the Magic Kingdom for a couple of
hours. We met up again around 7.00pm and made our way to the
Disney Village, where we ate in the Rainforest cafe. Great
atmosphere, but for four burgers, chips and a drink it cost around
€110 (very pricey compared to McDonalds next door, which would
have been a quarter of the cost). We finished the evening by
going back to the Magic Kingdom and watching the light & music
parade, followed by a milk shake at "Annettes Diner".
The
next morning I got up and went and bought coffee, crossiants and other
food. We had a room which contain a small kitchenette.
After a while the girls joined us and we ate breakfast before
leaving for Disneyland again. The weather was sunny and about
26C. Any hotter and it would have been uncomfortable.
