Colin & Michael's Visit
In early February Michael (nephew)
and Colin (brother) came to visit us for a long weekend and help
complete some jobs which my ill health had stopped me doing. They
arrived on Saturday night and by Sunday morning they were hard at work
concreting the paths around our cottage. Although it was very
frosty at night the clear skies during the day gave way to sunshine and
warm temperatures.
The following day we extended the
chicken enclosure. We drove half-a-dozen stakes in a semi-circle
around the existing enclosure, dug trenches between the stakes, added
chicken wire and place concrete in the trenches, which also covered the
bottom of the chicken wire. This was completed to stop foxes,
etc., from digging under the wire. Further chicken wire was added
until it reached the height of the stakes. The stakes were also
stained.
