Meeting the Relatives at Bristol - 2

The next morning we went for breakfast at Morrisons again and then proceeded to the centre of Bristol to look at the SS Great Britain.  However, due to a distinct lack of signs we were unable to find it and after a couple of circuits around the centre of Bristol we gave up.  We did follow a "Paddy's Day" parade - one float and approximately 30 people!

At 2.00 pm we made our way to Rebecca's house in Bristol where we had tea, biscuits and cakes.  John, our cousin Bill and his wife Sue turned up, as well as our cousin Georgina.   I showed an old video (transferred from a Super 8 film) of most of our relatives and ourselves when we were toddlers/youngsters.  Bill was particularly moved to see his old fire truck again!  It was Sue's birthday and naturally she received a cake and a rousing chorus of "Happy Birthday".  After posing for final photographs we said our goodbyes and left.

We had a final evening meal at the Harvester restaurant.  The next morning in lovely sunshine (typical as we were leaving) we headed for the airport and by mid-afternoon we were back at Cherry Tree Farm.
